Black Friday 2009: The Trailer

Before you go shopping this Friday, look at this short "Black Friday" horror trailer
that I made. If you think Paranormal Activity was scary, this trailer will have your crap taking a crap in its pants...

Still thinking of shopping now?

Oh yeah, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone... be thankful for all your blessings, especially in this economy and in society.

Confessions of a Video Vix[o]n (BlogTV)

So last night, I had my first "official" show on BlogTV (you can pretty much disregard the last post, because that show was a flop). Even though I was sick, I chatted with some ladies late last night and I decided to open myself up in a segment I respectfully called "Confessions of a Video Vix[o]n" (and no, it's not a copyright issue Ms Steffans; my name is spelled differently, lol). Here's the video I recorded. It's raw, real and uncut, just like a Video Vix should be.

If y'all want to join me late night, check me out on BlogTV. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

VdeoVxn Premieres on BlogTV!

video

*Director's Note - I didn't know how crazy the video came out until I seen it, but I figured I post it because it was hilarious and I sounded like a demon, lol. Safe to say, I'll continue vlogging from my digital camera, but if you still want to catch me on BlogTV, visit my page. Hopefully see some of you there tonight.

Giving You "Myspace..."

So, I been back on Myspace for a little bit now, and now I see why I left... nothing too exciting these days. I got a new friend request, which is rare because I'm not on there like that anymore. Anyway, it was this production company out in "Bay Area" of California called "Flash Mob Productions," so I looked at the vids on their page. Their video quality is good and their editing is on point, but hey, when people are paying you whatever, I guess you'll go hard to produce something amazing. These are some music videos they produced/directed on their page...

KHARI TOURE - TEDDY BEAR

So I was expecting some "hard beats and rhymes" (lol), but it was a cool rap/spoken word vid that has a positive message; definitely for the ladies. It's smooth and real, just wish the dude had a bit more energy (just a bit). Otherwise, the video was done well. Then, I had to feast my eyes on this lameness...

SHE'S SO BAD (The Remix)

Yes y'all, the girl is sooo bad, they HAD to make a remix... smh. Don't get me wrong, the video looked great; but clearly, these kids were too lazy to come up with anything original and made a hit that was just as bad as the girl (and not in a good way). I felt like I was committing statutory rape just looking at these teenyboppers trying to be the next N.E.R.D./Pretty Ricky fusion.

P.S.: I'm not accepting the friend request. I just told y'all I'm not on Myspace like that. But if you want to be my friend, I'll add you...

Vid Vix Vlog 11.5.09

Vlog notes
-@ 4:16: the post i was talking about, you can read here.

EXTRAS
-This past Monday, I went back to the "alta mater" for an annual event called Black Solidarity Day. The event was based off of a story about African-Americans disappearing from a predominantly white community and how the white people reacted to the drastic change (if you want to know more about the day, you can look it up online). I wasn't originally going to go, but then I found out that Bobby Seale, the co-founder of the Black Panther Party, was the keynote speaker, and I had to cut work to go; it was just automatic. During the summer, I've been reading about the BPP and what they've done during the 60's to uplift black communities throughout the United States, which has motivated me to start up the Fahari-Libertad in Brooklyn. Here's a clip of him speaking...

-Shout-out to Bloggal (who's new blog link i can't post for specific reasons, but for those who follow her, you know) and the vlog she did recently. She's beautiful and the video looked so "film noir" and majestic. You know I have to show video love where love is due.

That's all i can think of for now. Hopefully, the ball starts rolling quicker, so I can purchase this iMac i'm saving up for and get motivated to shoot and edit more vids... all in due time, i guess.

More Bond Fire! in The Bowery

Went out last night to see my boy Varyus Waise perform, as well as a few other artists, at this open mic event in Manhattan... Check out the footage.

Also met a dope photographer, named Changobi, who took one of the flyest pics of me in a while, so you know I had to use it. Just another day in the life...

Vid Vix Vlog - 10.26.09

EXTRAS
-This is some of the footage from The Clipse performance I S&E from last Tuesday...

You can see more of this performance at Music ADdicts Only

-My stepmom showed me this vid. Supposedly, there is some scary looking life living in a sewer in North Carolina... nobody know what it is, but people started claiming "extraterrestrial" already...

It does look scary though... what y'all think it is?

Morals of the Story...

Hey peoples... it's been a week, but so much has happened between now and then...

First, a revelation. Not sure if it's a good revelation or not, but I'm actually starting to like my job. Am I going crazy? Has my depression hit a dramatic high? I don't know, but I've decided to make it my mission to "save" my company. My job title is "Customer Service Representative" (aka "The TV Man") at different hospitals. This vid describes pretty much what I am, but just imagine remotes in my pocket and a clipboard in hand...

My worst enemy is encountering a broken television or an out-of-order (or as my job calls it, OOO's) TV that needs to be replaced in order for a patient to recieve the best customer service possible. But lately, I've been noticing a lot of issues at my job that I feel need to be fixed in order for everyone to do their job more efficiently and for customers to get the best service possible. So, I've made it my sole mission to save my company and to become a "super-rep," being the best TV/Phone representative there is, which leads to my first moral: Take pride in what you do, no matter how mundane. I feel by actually having a goal, or feeling like I have a purpose at this job, besides getting paid, I'll like going to work and actually challenging myself to do better. It's made me a bit happier, so what can I say?

On the downside, I've had two accidents recently.

-Yesterday, I got into a mini car accident where a dude was making an bad, most likely, illegal U-turn on a bike/car lane street. Me, trying to swerve out the way, got hit by the guy, who didn't wait for me to pass. Out of anger, I got out to check the damage on my car, while telling the dude if he knew he couldn't make a turn. He simply said "I didn't know" and drove away, with me not even thinking of getting a license plate or anything. Luckily, the car wasn't damaged that bad. Definitely could have been worse, like one of those All-State commercials...

(the closest commercial to the accident I can find)
Second moral: Always be alert, no matter what the situation is.

-Today, I finished buying some slices of pizza and I was standing at a corner of an intersection, ready to cross the street, when I stepped off the curb, I felt myself going lower that I should have been... come to find out a piece of the curb was missing, which was over a drainage hole; so I basically stepped knee deep in shit... ridiculous. Every saw what happened, even the pizza guy and asked if I was okay, and once again, even though I was fine, passed up another opportunity to "punish the culprit." I could have stayed on the floor and say hello to my new best friend Sue, but I didn't. Oh boy, why me? lol.

Final moral: Take an opportunity while it presents itself.

Shout-out to DoccLondon on BlogTV (this guy is hilarious on his live shows. His shows are usually start at midnight, so if you're a late bird, check him out). Besides not seeing a movie in a while, I'm doing alright. I'm probably going to vlog soon and I'm thinking of revamping my theme song video... I'll see what moves me to move...
